Everything in this article is TRUTH, and that is the truth. Andrew is everything he demands from other people—his standards are high, and his fiction compass is unwavering. Whenever I write something, I want to reach Andrew and Emil (whom Andrew pointed me towards), even if I'm writing something that maybe won't be their bag. Andrews's truth and authenticity make me a better writer just by its existence on the platform.
Excellent post, Thaddeus. I’ve read both these stories and also been lucky enough to have Andrew read one of my fiction pieces published in SUM FLUX. His response has helped birth an idea I’m truly excited about.
As a long-time fan of Andrew's writing, I've often struggled to find the words to adequately praise his work (in general, but Rap Fiction in particular). This article gives me the words I've been searching for. "He does more than give us art; he gives us an example of the artist and asks: are you one of us, or is it pretense and play?" YES!!
The lack of comments here is disturbing. My haters are so silent when I step into the room. My wife said i can't leave anymore comments. And she said that I can't leave that comment from her unless its my real last comment. So here's for hoping.
BEEF: VOLUME 1 literally had me out of my chair at the end. That last line is what I really want to restack, but I would never take that payoff from another reader. It's so good
Thank you so much for your attention to my work. I really, deeply appreciate it. This is such a great way to be introduced to the larger fiction community on Substack.

Ohhh thanks so much Esi. It's still 20 years ago in our first workshops and I'll never stop missing Leslie.
You are all good people. This article makes me happy.
Thanks Brock!
Really, it's heartwarming and you fought for many, many writers here too. Proud just to be friends.
appreciate that so much brother. Same to you, especially with you be flexing on your critical analysis.

Interaction can be hard to come by. Folks horde it like it's needed for rent.
we gotta change that to affect the algo i think.
It reminded me that I needed to do a deep dive on your work and see what’s up. 🤿
please do!
Heartwarming analysis
thank you so much for taking to read the piece and for making a comment!
Great piece. Thanks for sharing this profound lens of analysis on Andrew’s work. I found deep pain and joy in both the pieces you shared.
thanks. Neptune shit.
