It’s come up twice now that I’ve come across fairly new substacks with everything behind a paywall, and they see no other choice because they need to make money. I was avoiding writing about monetization because what do I know? Well. I know you have to demonstrate a product to sell it, and for that, in online parlance, you need a funnel. So, tonight I’m researching and writing about the paid-subscriber funnel. Next time this comes up, I want to have an answer, not just a vague feeling there’s a problem .
