As you know, I've been considering asking to be added to the waiting list but I do have some questions. How often do you share the group promotion link? Where do you share it? (I know you share it on Substack and on your website but where else?) Do you do paid advertising eg on Facebook or elsewhere? How long is the present waiting list? Is being on your list a commitment for 12 months or a monthly commitment? You can DM if you prefer to engage that way. I'm a Book Funnel member myself, as of recently, participating in my first group promotions this month and quite pleased with how they work so far.
It looks like I’ll be able to open a couple spots without expanding my services. Those will be filled by the first to claim them. Otherwise, I need to demonstrate that I can bring on enough new clients to justify the expense of expanding.
You’ll have your own link that tracks how often it generates visitors. Book Funnel recommends once or twice in the newsletter and often in social media, but I’ve found I’m getting clicks every post by giving the link a regular spot.
If you’ve visited a promotion, you’ll notice there are lots of books. There are people with newsletters in the promotion that aren’t part of my services. All of us are bringing in visitors, and that ‘s where the traffic comes from. No advertising.
When you join, it’s $80 a year. The waiting list is not legally binding.
If necessary, I may have to offer a monthly option in the beginning. I did something similar when I first started. People were hesitant but once they got a taste… Expanding is expensive, though, and I’m hoping not to have to offer anything other than annual.
LOL I just saw the last line. I do have members who also run their own account, but there’s no real benefit in that. They’re just being awesome people. Working with me is mostly about not having to do it yourself.
The attraction for me is really just the possibility of expanding my reach. On the other hand, I don't want to bombard my mailing list with too many promotion pages. This month I'm participating in three promotions and in May, a Book Funnel group promo that deliberately seeks out new readers on Facebook. Planning to do some Facebook ads next month myself. I think I'll see how things go over the next few months. Can I be put on your waiting list with a view to not having my book in your promo till June?
Also, I'm thinking, Book Funnel gives people who enter their group promos their individual tracking link. But I'm presuming that since non-BookFunnel members are working with you on this, then the tracking link you give all participants is not a BookFunnel one?
Thanks for that. I was trying to work through the mechanics in my head and since I didn't know publisher accounts existed till you pointed it out, I was unclear. Well, definitely please do put me on your Waiting List. I imagine there might be a form or something to fill out on your website. Let me know what I need to do.
Okay, it appears to be the Books Spring Eternal one, as I see your name there as the organiser. I’ll look out for it in future, though I don’t want to join another promo till June … Thank you for your patience with my questions. I am much clearer now … and will look out for your promos whenever I’m ready to join a new one.
You can always join my promotions from your existing book funnel account without having to pay me or join Bookmotion. In April my promotion is Books Spring Eternal. You can find it under general fiction.

I operate publisher accounts which give me tracking links for each individual.

Oh, I’m confused. I can access it directly through Book Funnel? … Okay, I’ll look it up then.
