Oh, that's fascinating, man. The idea that self is not a distinct entity but rather the orientation of consciousness is powerful. Quantum mechanics might offer a strange sort of parallel here, not as a literal explanation, but as a metaphor for understanding the self's elusive status. In quantum theory, particles don't have fixed properties until they're observed. They're basically probability waves, collapsed into being by the act of measurement. Similarly, the self is not a static entity but an emergent property of focused awareness. The "I" is neither the observer nor the observed but rather the act of observing itself. I prob wrote something that doesn't make sense. But your article is really cool :D
